Vaccine & Microchip Identification Services
Prevention is the key to keeping your pet healthy and safe. Humane Pennsylvania’s Healthy Pets Initiative (HPI) makes preventative vaccines and microchips available to residents of Berks and Lancaster Counties for FREE!
HPI’s vaccine and microchip clinics provide FREE:
• Rabies vaccines (1 year and 3 year, as needed; rabies is a disease that is fatal to humans and animals, and the law requires that every cat and dog be properly vaccinated).
• DA2PPV (dogs) or FVRCP (cats) vaccines (these vaccines prevent a wide variety of common diseases that can be fatal to pets, including distemper and parvo.
• Microchips (these are small devices, no larger than a grain of rice, that are implanted between a pet’s shoulder blades; when properly registered, they can help increase the odds that if your pet becomes lost you will be successfully reunited home).
It’s easy to access Humane Pennsylvania’s free vaccine and microchip services – check our Upcoming Clinics Calendar for dates and locations, click on the link for the clinic most convenient for you, and follow the instructions to sign up for your HPI Clinic FASTPASS*.
*What’s an HPI Clinic FASTPASS? When you sign up online for any vaccine/microchip clinic, you will reserve a FASTPASS that guarantees that your pet will receive free services and helps expedite the process of seeing the vet. While walk-ins are always welcome at HPI clinics, they are not guaranteed to receive service, and they will have much longer wait times.
