VETERINARY TECHNICIAN (Reading)

The Humane Veterinary Hospital Reading is seeking a Certified Veterinary Technician or Technician with at least two years Veterinary Hospital experience with excellent small animal care and customer service skills to join the expanding veterinary practice of our award winning, AAHA accredited, animal welfare organization. Applicants must be able to work independently and as a team, have a friendly personality, and superior animal care skills. Experience required in taking patient history, animal restraint, surgical prep of animals, anesthesia monitoring, dental cleaning and radiography, digital x-rays, laboratory testing, sterilization of surgical instruments, medication dosage and administration, venipuncture and catheter placement, laboratory testing and preparation. We offer a competitive salary and benefits with a $1500 sign on bonus available. Spanish speaking a plus.

ADOPTION COUNSELOR (Reading & Lancaster)

Humane Pennsylvania is accepting resumes for a full-time Adoption Counselor at both the Humane League of Lancaster County and the Humane Society of Berks County to help provide quality in-person and telephone client service. This candidate will also be responsible for processing stray and relinquished animals, screening pre-adoption paperwork, completing adoption paperwork, answering phones, and counseling prospective adopters. Our Adoption Counselors are also responsible for record keeping, and data entry. Excellent benefits, competitive salary. Pleasant, self-motivated individuals sought, excellent communication and computer skills are required, and applicants with customer service experience are preferred. Starting rate $10.10 per hour. FACILITIES MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN (Reading & Lancaster)

Humane Pennsylvania is accepting resumes for a full-time Facilities Maintenance Technician. This candidate will supervise and perform general cleaning and maintenance of all Humane Pennsylvania’s facilities, adjacent walks and grounds; receive materials and supplies and deliver to facilities or special event locations. The Facilities Maintenance Technician is also responsible for maintaining operational and working equipment in clean, orderly, and functional condition, as well as responding to emergency situations such as power failure, plumbing, heating, severe weather or vandalism. Travel is required between both our Reading and Lancaster locations. Excellent benefits, salary starting at $32,000 to $45,000 a year (based upon experience.)
