VETERINARIANS (Full and Part Time, Reading and Lancaster)

VETERINARY TECHNICIAN (Lancaster & Reading)

Humane Veterinary Hospitals is seeking veterinary technicians at both our Lancaster & Reading locations with excellent small animal care and customer service skills to join the expanding veterinary practice of our award-winning animal welfare organization. Applicants must enjoy working independently, have a friendly personality and superior animal care skills. Saturdays and evening availability a must. Experience required in taking patient history, animal restraint, surgical prep of animals, anesthesia monitoring, x-rays, laboratory testing, sterilization of surgical instruments, medication dosage and administration, venipuncture and catheter placement, laboratory testing and preparation. Excellent client education and customer service skills a must. Spanish speaking a plus!

ADOPTION COUNSELOR (Berks)

The Humane Society of Berks County is seeking a full-time Adoption Counselor to help provide quality in-person and telephone client service. This candidate will also be responsible for processing stray and relinquished animals, screening pre-adoption paperwork, completing adoption paperwork, answering phones, and counseling prospective adopters. Our Adoption Counselors are also responsible for record keeping, and data entry. Excellent benefits, competitive salary. FACILITIES MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN (Lancaster & Reading)

OFFICE COORDINATOR

Humane Pennsylvania is currently seeking a full-time Office Coordinator to provide supervision to our six-person customer service staff at the Humane League of Lancaster County and the Humane Society of Berks County. Ideal candidate should be exceptionally organized, detail oriented, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The position of Office Coordinator will have responsibilities that include, but are not limited to: scheduling, ordering supplies, attending meetings,answering phone calls and emails, preparing regular reports, maintaining computer and manual filing systems, carrying out administrative duties, and assisting the public with intake and adoption of animals. This position will require travel between Humane Pennsylvania’s animal shelters, located in Berks and Lancaster Counties.

Desired candidate has proven administrative and office management experience (2 years minimum), excellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize work.  High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred. Excellent computer skills and valid driver’s license are required. Bilingual Spanish speaking skills are a plus.  Excellent benefits, $30,000-$35,000/yr., commensurate with experience.
