Humane Pennsylvania Partners shelters believe that the problems facing animals in shelters in the United States can’t be solved without honesty and transparency.  That’s why all Humane Pennsylvania animal statistics are reported online, making it one of only a handful of organizations in Pennsylvania to do so.  The public’s need to see both how well we doing and how far we have to go.  Below are complete intake and outgoing statistics for Humane Society of Berks County and  Humane League of Lancaster County’s shelters.  Humane Pennsylvania’s Pet Evaluation Matrix, which explains how adoption and euthanasia decisions are made and how animals are categorized in our reporting under Asilomar Accord guidelines, is also included.

Humane Pennsylvania is extremely proud that our combined partner efforts allowed us to reach a live release rate for all cats and dogs of over 90% and 100% for all other animals across our shelters (healthy and treatable sick and injured).  With your help, we hope to make that 100% across the board.  If you have any questions, please contact us.
