Spike’s Pet Pantry

No Pet Hungry

Spike’s Pet Pantry is making sure that no pet in Berks or Lancaster County ever goes hungry, and that no one ever has to make the heartbreaking decision to give up their pet because they can’t provide basic care. To do that, we make pet food available to every Berks and Lancaster County resident, regardless of income or economic status – if you need food for your pet, we are here to help!

Spike’s Pet Pantry serves pet owners in need in two ways: by ensuring that local human food pantries have access to pet food to meet pet-owning clients’ needs and by operating pantry locations at our Humane Pennsylvania Community Resource Center and at Humane League of Lancaster County.

Berks County Residents — Pantry Access:

  • Berks County residents who access a humane good pantry can also pick up pet food at many local pantires.  Spike’s Pet Pantry is proud to partner with Helping Harvest to ensure all of their local food partners have access to donated pet food.
  • Residents who aren’t utilizing a human food pantry can come to our Humane Pennsylvania Community Resource Center, 1350 Schuylkill Ave., Reading, PA 19601, on Tuesday and Thursday afternoon from 2 PM–6 PM (closed on holidays and when Reading schools are closed due to inclement weather).  For more information, please read our Spike’s Pet Pantry Information Sheet (English) (Español).
