Spike & Tilly’s Pet Resort

Need to be away and you can’t take your furry (or scaley!) friend? Humane Pennsylvania makes pet boarding easy- and affordable! Spike & Tilly’s Pet Resort offers high-quality pet boarding with comfortable accommodations and activities that give your pet a fun getaway, whether they are here for the day, staying overnight, or staying with us for an extended vacation.

Spike & Tilly’s Pet Resort standard services include daily exercise, potty breaks, and enrichment for dogs. Cats enjoy BIG three room accommodations and daily individual playtime. Medication dispensing services are also available at an extra charge (restrictions may apply*). Other fun extras and add-on services available!

IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW:

Vaccines

  • All pets must be up to date on vaccines 2 weeks prior to arrival date. A list of vaccine requirements is in our FAQ section.
  • All cats, dogs, and ferrets must have had flea prevention applied 2 weeks prior to arrival date. If we find live fleas on your pet, we will administer an over-the-counter flea treatment (at cost to you) as well as an application fee of $50 for staff time and inconvenience.

Food & Bedding

  • All food must be stored in a plastic storage tote with a sealable lid. An additional tote fee will be charged for food that is not brought in a tote. We will not accept food bags outside of a tote.
  • If you did not bring your food, our food will be provided for an additional fee.
  • If your pet develops gastrointestinal issues that persist for more than three days, we will contact you and your emergency contact to arrange for the pickup of your pet and veterinary care.
  • Due to health concerns, we do not accept any fabric bedding, blankets, or plush toys.
  • Due to choking hazards, we will not accept rawhide bones or antlers.

Emergency Contact

  • All boarders must have an emergency in-town contact who is prepared to pick up your pet and arrange veterinary care.

  • In Lancaster County: At Humane Pennsylvania’s Lancaster Campus, 2195 Lincoln Highway East, Lancaster, PA 17602
  • In Berks County: At the Freedom Center for Animal Life-Saving, 1801 N. 11th Street, Reading, PA 19604
Checking In & Out
  • Check-in (drop-off): 2 PM – 4:30 PM
  • Check-out (pick-up): 9 AM – 11 AM
  • *Early check-in fee $30.00 (Drop-off during am hours)
  • **Guests picked up during afternoon hours will be charged for an additional night ($30)
