We have received an overwhelming response to Miracle Maisy’s story, and we can’t thank everyone enough for their kind words and support to help care for this little girl while she recovers from her traumatic experience.
Miracle Maisy’s spay last Friday went well! She went back into the care of her foster mom to ensure she was able to recover comfortably from the surgery. Her foster mom, Donna, says Maisy is now interested in playing and is super friendly and affectionate! She will be getting another re-check next week to clear her for adoption.
We will start accepting applications to begin screening potential adopters. Anyone who is interested in adopting Maisy should fill out an Adoption Application. Applications can be emailed to Leann Quire, Director of Shelter Operations, at email@example.com, or mailed to: The Humane Society of Berks County C/O Leann Quire, 1801 N. 11th Street, Reading, PA 19604. Applications may also be dropped off at the shelter in-person. This is not a “first come, first serve” adoption case. Applications will be assessed by shelter staff with Maisy’s best interest at heart.
Miracle Maisy is on the road to recovery, and we thank everyone for their questions and concerns! We are offering a $1,000 reward to anyone who has information that leads to an arrest in Maisy’s case. Please contact Crime Alert Berks at 877-373-9913 to provide a tip.
As you can imagine, providing emergency medical care can be costly. For those who would like to make a gift toward Maisy’s medical expenses and others like hers, we have a fund established on our Donation Webpage. Donations to Miracle Maisy’s Medical Fund will support all services used toward saving her life.Donations can also be sent to Humane Pennsylvania, 1729 N. 11th Street, Reading, PA 19604.
